Founded by Dr. Chad Carpenter in 2005, Carpenter Dental has spent 20+ years building a welcoming, family-oriented practice in Rapid City — one where patients feel heard, never rushed, and cared for like family. Our goal with every patient is simple: build a relationship for life.

Dr. Chad M. Carpenter
Founder & Dentist
Dr. Carpenter founded Carpenter Dental in 2005 and has called Rapid City home for nearly two decades. Known for a warm, calming chairside manner that puts even anxious patients at ease, he's deeply rooted in the community — serving as president of the Cornerstone Rescue Mission and volunteering with dental missions at home and abroad. He was named South Dakota's “Young Dentist of the Year.”
Dr. Andrew Thorsen
General Dentist
Dr. Thorsen joined Carpenter Dental in 2018 after serving seven years in the U.S. Air Force, where he completed a one-year AEGD residency in Anchorage, Alaska. He earned his dental degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association and South Dakota Dental Association, with a strong commitment to continuing education.
Dr. Jaicee Rieman
General Dentist
Raised on a small ranch outside Bridgeport, Nebraska, Dr. Rieman completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska and earned her dental degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After three years in private practice in Sioux City, Iowa, she joined the Carpenter Dental team in Rapid City. She's an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
